Lervillle and LUP: A city made dystopia

Published 19 february by Maria Rodriguez

LERVILLE. How should one best describe local politics in the hands of the LUP? Should I mention how they hunt young people with fines and police patrols? How they casually forget that homeless people sleep on the streets—streets they then allow to be littered with broken glass and drugs? Or should I describe how their leadership resorts to violence and personal attacks at the slightest hint of criticism?

This is not the same Lerville I once walked through, but a hollow shell of its former self. Every smile feels thinner, shops are more expensive, and people a little more hostile. Our city has been transformed into a dystopia under Wilkins’ rule.

I am not afraid to write this article. Nor am I afraid of being harassed for my opinions, or of encouraging activists like Lerville Youth. Because I recognize the type of people sitting in LUP’s leadership. I know exactly how they get their votes—by building a straw enemy and then screaming “the devil” when they themselves set it on fire.

Think carefully before blindly following the doomsday preacher into his temple. Otherwise, it is you, citizens, who will end up in the wolf’s jaws.

My dad voted for LUP after listening to them talking about the drug trade on the radio - talk about easily fooled.
